What is Guest Mode in Elite Quiz?

Guest Mode lets new users explore the app instantly using Firebase Anonymous Authentication, without creating an account first. They get a temporary UID and limited gameplay access right away.

Which gameplay modules can guests access?

That depends entirely on admin configuration. Admins can enable or disable guest access individually for Quiz Zone, Self Challenge, Fun & Learn, Guess the Word, Daily Quiz, Exam, Contest, One vs One Battle, Group Battle, and any future modules.

How does the Guest Play Limit work?

It's a single global limit shared across every module a guest can access, not a separate limit per mode. Once it's used up, gameplay pauses until the player registers or signs in.

Do guests lose their progress if they register later?

No. Linking a guest account to Google, Apple, Email & Password, or Phone keeps the same Firebase UID, updates the existing backend record, and preserves all existing data.

Can guests appear on leaderboards?

Yes. Each guest is assigned a unique, friendly generated name like "Clever Tiger 421" instead of a generic "Guest" label, so leaderboards stay meaningful even before signup.

What happens if a guest tries to link an account that's already in use?

Firebase rejects the request automatically, the guest account stays unchanged, and no data is modified. The app asks the user to use a different credential or sign in to their existing account.

Are guest accounts permanent?

No. They're temporary by design. Logging out deletes the guest account and its data, and prolonged inactivity can trigger automatic deletion as well, based on the admin-configured inactivity window.
