Can staff punch in and out more than once a day?

Yes. Staff can Punch In and Punch Out multiple times during the same day, and the system automatically alternates between the two based on the sequence of scans.

What happens if a staff member is outside the school's radius?

The QR scanner does not open. The system checks GPS, location permission, and distance from the school before allowing a scan, and scanning is blocked if the staff member is outside the configured Allowed Attendance Radius.

What's the difference between Shift-Based and Day-Based calculation?

Shift-Based counts only the hours that fall within the staff member's assigned shift timing. Day-Based counts all completed punch hours for the date, even those outside the shift. Both modes still use the assigned shift to determine Full Day and Half Day hour requirements.

What happens if a staff member forgets to punch out?

The system does not generate or assume a Punch Out time. The incomplete punch is flagged, the staff member is notified, and the Principal receives an email listing all missed Punch Out records for manual correction in the Staff Attendance module.
